Iran Gas Export Through Turkey' Will Turkey Control The Flow Of Gas?

Asizollah Ramezani the director of a National Iranian Gas Company claims that Iran are now prepared to export Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan gas to Europe.

Ramezani on Sunday was quoted stating the following;

“Our proposal is receiving Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan gas in Iran and transferring it to Europe through Turkey, as this route is the most economical way for transfer of gas to Europe,” - This may show that Turkey can become the dominant gas market player as Iran's gas will flow through turkey, as-well as Russia, Azerbaijan and possibly Iraq.

Three years ago, Ramezani established an agreement with
 Turkey which cemented the development of a Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP) that will prepare an entrance for Azerbaijani natural gas into Europe through Turkey.

Gas flow being on the Turkish-Greek border, will open doors into Europe for the named countries and specifically Russia gas exports - due the fact that Greece is an European state.
Ramezani can expect the preparation of this infrastructure to start rapidly if political impediments are annihilated.

The current plan of underwater gas pipeline within the Caspian Sea to export gas to Europe is expensive, therefore the flow of gas through Turkey seems more efficient. This can empower many countries economically.
