Health Benefits Of Green Tea (No.4 Is Mind-Blowing...)



#1 - Green Tea Contains Many Bio-active Compounds That Improves Health:

Green tea contains substances which act as antioxidants therefore keeping your internal system clean and healthy.  Also, the substances protect cells and molecules inside your body and on your skin. The most common and useful substance Green tea contains is epigallocatechinGallate (EGCG). Try saying that. I can't.


#2 - Improves Brain Function Therefore Making You Somewhat Intellectually Advanced: 

The most active component in Green tea is the stimulant caffeine. However, in Green tea the dose is not as much but enough to create an effect on the body. What caffeine does is, it blocks the neurotransmitter adenosine. The result of this is that it increases the pace of neurones and the concentration of neurotransmitters like dopamine. Another benefit of caffeine is that it improves memory, brain function and mood swings. It will also keep you awake at night, most likely running in circles around the house...

A breast cancer study showed that women who drank Green tea on a regular basis had a 24% lower risk of developing the cancer. Diabetes Type II is when people cannot control their blood sugar levels and the production of insulin. Green tea has been proven to improve insulin sensitivity and maintain blood glucose levels. Also, studies show that people who drink Green tea have a 44% lower risk of developing type II diabetes.

Green tea kills bacteria and inhibits viruses like influenza, therefore lowering the risk of developing infections.

The compounds in Green tea have been proven in numerous studies to lower the risk of the development of Parkinson's disease. Parkinson's disease is the second major neurodegenerative disease and involves the suffering of dopamine producing neurones in the brain.

Cardiovascular disease includes heart disease and stroke. Studies show that Green tea users have a 31% lower risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Also, the tea increases the antioxidant in the blood therefore protecting the LDL cholesterol particles from oxidation.

This is because of the antioxidants Green tea contains, it protects the LDL cholesterol in the blood therefore having the ability to lowering them, too much cholesterol is harmful in a sense green tea can reduce blood pressure as-well.


#10 - Prevents You From Becoming Obese:

Green tea boosts the metabolic rate in the short term and therefore controls your weight. Many studies show that Green tea accelerates the loss of weight, mainly in the abdominal area therefore giving you the six pack you have always wanted. Oh and don't ever drink this stuff when their is no toilet around especially if you have a high metabolism or bad things shall happen. Real bad.


- Many athletes seem to drinking this stuff, some claim it helps them digest food easier others just "like the taste", what ever your reason is - Green tea is a Win, Win, Win, and should replace your average cuppa. I would suggest buying the organic Green leaves and then add boiling water instead of those boxed-up teabags which have been injected with chemicals to increase their 'shelf-life'.
